Alizda and Jorge

Alizda and Jorge, 7th May 2016

It seems that when we go to a new place for a wedding, we do not have to wait longer for going back there again! And this time is the case of ‘La Casa de los Abanicos’, a really elegant mansion in Guadalajara with a lot of inspiring corners. And that’s even more challenging when the couple is like this one, Alizda and Jorge, two young beautiful people, tenderly in love and with good taste.

But this time we had also the opportunity to know a new interesting place where to take pictures: the Aloft Hotel. Very original and colourful hotel in the most exclusive part of Guadalajara. We definitely enjoyed the session! Alizda and Jorge are friendly and positive people and that’s helped them in their day.

That Saturday was one of those days that starts with an extreme hot sunshine morning and ends with a lot of rain

Unfortunately, it rained during the open-air reception. During this season the weather in Guadalajara can be very tricky and that Saturday was one of those days that starts with an extreme hot sunshine morning and ends with a lot of rain. Alizda and Jorge didn’t let the rain be a chance to complain. The place has a close space, where part of the reception took place and where people had fun anyway! And when the rain stopped, back outdoor again to continue the party! As usual, the show always must go on! Well done guys!

Casa de los Abanicos, an authentic historical house

I really love this location, an authentic historical house in Guadalajara, well conserved and full of beautiful scenario for a wedding session. Especially this peculiar stair whit this giant chandelier in the middle of the scene. What’s missing? Just a beautiful bride and a perfect snoot light, pointed by my assistant, Azahara, right to the point. I simply asked Alizda to move in circle to give a bit of round movement to the scene. In post, I had fun intensifying colours and shadow.

Don’t move and just hope that the couple will donate you a kiss or just the right side.
The “vals” is the most intense moment during a Mexican wedding. And it is also the most challenging moment for a photographer as it’s not always easy to compose, catch the moment and expose correctly. Especially when some fireworks are planned to come out meanwhile. The good thing to do is ask the wedding planner the exact moment when expect that and just staring at the scene until the moment comes out. Don’t move and just hope that the couple will donate you a kiss or just the right side.
