Marbela and Victor

Marbela and Victor, Romantic and Intimate Destination Wedding in Puerto Escondido

Rancho Neptuno, Casa Agave Azul, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca

Last December, just one week before Christmas, we flew to Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, to document the wedding of Marbela and Victor, a pleasant couple from Mexico City.

The wedding was intimate, just for few friends and the two families, on a very private beach few kilometres from Puerto Escondido: Rancho Neptuno , Casa Agave Azul Puerto Escondido Oaxaca. We’ve been here before, Carlos and me, when we were younger and it had been a very big and welcome surprise to see that this places preserved the aspect and the magic of that time. Many good memories came back to us to delight our permanence in Puerto Escondido.

The Wedding was organised by two professionals wedding planners from Mexico City: Idea Central It has been a great pleasure to meet them and work together. The wedding day everything went smooth and in a relaxed mood. There was no rush and no stress at all. The bride and the groom just want to have good time with no pressure at all.

We had a short session time benefit from a beautiful warm light. The ceremony took place during a beautiful sunset and the words of the priest moved everybody’s feelings. The place for the reception was delicate adorned with hundreds of lights suspended above the dance floor which I used to create a reflection effect during the first dance, as the couple was hug by the stars.

It fallowed a crazy and funny party, pour by litres of Mescal. This time I tried to take advantage of the lights from the dance floor instead using flashes all the time, to create colourful images. Not using flashes is risky to me because colourful led lights usually distort faces. So I have to shoot more to get one good image.

The day after, Carlos and me, decided to use the rest of the days to go back to one of our favourite places in all world: Mazunte Beach, just few hours from Puerto Escondido. What a surprise to get there and realise that in ten years nothing has changed and we could enjoy the peace and the friendly atmosphere the same way we did when we were younger. One more time to be thankful with my job and all the experiences we can do and the places we can visit.
